Hello everyone! Today, I’m going to share an intriguing trick that’s been working wonders for me in boosting my search rankings on Google. This isn’t your typical SEO advice—this trick leverages the power of ChatGPT alongside a free tool for keyword research. Trust me, this method is straightforward, and the results are phenomenal. So, let’s dive into the practical steps of how I’ve been using it to climb up the Google rankings.
Step 1: Analyze Your Current Performance in Google Search Console
Before making any changes, it’s crucial to understand where your website currently stands. Start by logging into your Google Search Console. This tool provides a wealth of information about how your website is performing in Google search.
- Navigate to the Performance Report: Go to the “Performance” tab, where you’ll see an overview of your site’s clicks, impressions, average CTR (Click-Through Rate), and average position.
- Drill Down into Specific Pages: Click on the “Pages” tab to view the performance of individual pages on your website. This will help you identify which pages are doing well and which ones need improvement.
Action Tip: Focus on pages with high impressions but low CTR. These pages have visibility but aren’t converting viewers into visitors, indicating a potential optimization opportunity.
Step 2: Identify Pages with High Impressions but Low Clicks
Once you’re in the “Pages” section, sort your pages by impressions. Look for pages that have a significant number of impressions but a relatively low number of clicks. These are prime candidates for optimization.
- Select a Page: Choose a page with high impressions but low clicks.
- View Query Data: Click on the page to see the queries (keywords) that are driving traffic to it. This will give you insight into which keywords your page is currently ranking for, but perhaps not effectively targeting.
Example: I found a page on my website, deepawali SEO Tips, with 1,466 impressions but only 59 clicks (keywords hidden and you need to ensure to target low difficulty keyword first). This indicated that while the page was being seen, it wasn’t compelling enough to attract clicks.

Step 3: Export and Analyze the Data
Now that you’ve identified a page to optimize, it’s time to dive deeper into the keyword data.
- Export the Data: In the Google Search Console, export the query data into an Excel or CSV file. This file will include a list of keywords along with their impressions, clicks, CTR, and average position.
- Analyze the Data: Open the file and start analyzing the data. Specifically, look for keywords that have high impressions but are either missing from your content or aren’t resulting in clicks.
Action Tip: Focus on keywords with an average position between 7 and 50. These are keywords where your content is visible on the second or third page of search results—perfect for a ranking boost with some optimization.
Step 4: Use a Free Keyword Analysis Tool
Here’s where a free tool like Keyword Insights comes into play. Tool name is keyword analyzer and it allows you to upload your exported keyword data and analyze it against your website content.
- Upload Your Data: Go to the Keyword Insights tool and upload the exported Excel or CSV file. Also, enter the URL of the page you’re analyzing.
- Analyze Keyword Density: The tool will return a list of the top 20 keywords, showing how frequently they’re mentioned in your content. It also provides performance metrics like clicks and impressions for each keyword.
Example: One keyword in my content, “Adsense” was mentioned 241 times, but despite its high density, it wasn’t generating clicks—suggesting over-optimization or irrelevant placement.
Step 5: Filter and Refine Your Keyword List
Now that you have your keyword data, it’s time to refine it further.
- Filter Keywords by Position: In your Excel sheet, filter the keywords by position. Focus on keywords with positions between 7 and 50—these are within striking distance of the first page.
- Check Keyword Presence: Identify which of these keywords are missing from your content or not effectively integrated.
Top Queries | Impressions | Clicks | CTR | Average Position | Mentions |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Keyword A | 1,442 | 59 | 4.1% | 14 | 0 |
Keyword B | 800 | 30 | 3.75% | 22 | 0 |
Keyword C | 600 | 15 | 2.5% | 35 | 38 |
Action Tip: Focus on the keywords that are not mentioned or are under-utilized in your content for example Keyword A and Keyword B. These are opportunities to improve your ranking by naturally integrating them into your content.
Step 6: Optimize Content Using ChatGPT
Now comes the fun part—using ChatGPT to optimize your content.
- Input Your Data into ChatGPT: Copy the list of keywords that need better integration into your content. Then, copy your blog post or page content into ChatGPT.
- Prompt ChatGPT: Ask ChatGPT to rewrite your content, ensuring that these keywords are naturally included.
- Review the Output: ChatGPT will generate a revised version of your content. Review this to ensure it reads well and fits your website’s tone.
Example: After inputting my content and keywords, ChatGPT rewrote the article, effectively incorporating all the missing keywords. This resulted in a more SEO-friendly version of my original content.
ChatGPT prompt I use to add the keywords to the blog post usign the tool
“I have a blog post that I would like to optimize for SEO by including specific keywords. Below is the list of keywords that need to be integrated into the content, along with the original blog post. Please rewrite the article to include these keywords in a way that feels natural and human, while also ensuring it is optimized for search engines. Make sure the keywords are spread evenly throughout the text and that the flow of the article remains engaging and easy to read.

- [Keyword A]
- [Keyword B]
- [Keyword C] … [n. Keyword n]
Original Blog Post: [Insert your original blog post text here]
Please maintain the original meaning and tone of the article while optimizing it for these keywords.”
Step 7: Update Your Content and Monitor Results
After uploading your optimized content, be sure to request indexing in Google Search Console to speed up the re-crawling process. Keep an eye on your keyword rankings, traffic, and engagement metrics over the next few weeks to see how your updates are performing. If needed, refine the content further based on these insights, and consider applying this strategy to other pages for continued improvements.
